After the first half of 2022, the market for electric vehicles is seeing an exciting competition.

Nearly 100,000 more electric vehicles were sold by the Chinese company BYD,

which is supported by Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway, than by Elon Musk's Tesla.

These delivery figures demonstrate the Chinese company's growth in a sector where Tesla

long held sway. Will BYD eventually outsell Tesla in the electric vehicle market?

Only electric vehicles are sold by Tesla. They have never owned a hybrid, conventionally fueled car,

Tesla reported delivering 564,000 vehicles globally in the first half of 2022

This falls a bit shy of their plan; to hit the full-year objective, sales would have to climb by 46%.
