The Dodge Charger and Challenger in their current guises are about to say farewell. 

The Charger and Challenger's manufacture will finish in December 2023, according to an official statement from Dodge. 

However, it made a guarantee that the muscle vehicle would endure, albeit in an electric form.

Dodge may still use internal combustion engines to power its next-generation muscle vehicles

That seems to be at odds with the decisions Dodge is now making as it transitions to electric cars (EV). 

It even displayed the structure of its next EVs, including a hypothetical electric muscle vehicle
